On January 20th, 2006, the Founder Group officially released its Three-Year Strategic Plan of the Founder Group. This specified that the Founder Group aims to become a corporation underpinned by the two main businesses of IT, and healthcare and pharmaceuticals, and with sufficient cash flow, good profitability, and human resources.
In January, Founder Jiangsu IT Manufacturing Base, with a capacity for building 6,000,000 computers per year was officially launched.

On April 13th, Founder entered into the Genuine Windows Cooperation Agreement with Microsoft and both parties reached a strategic cooperation partnership.
In April, Founder assisted the People’s Daily and other newspaper publication houses with their digital newspaper programs. In total, 30 out of 40 newspaper agencies across the country have adopted Founder’s digital newspaper system, giving it more than a 95% share of the journalism market.

On May 9th, the “Journalism Digital Assets Management System” jointly developed by Founder and Peking University received first prize at the Beijing Science and Technology Awards.
On May 31st, Founder stood tenth among the 20th Top 100 Electronic Information Enterprises listed by the Ministry of Information Industry in 2006;
On May 26th, Founder stood eighth among the 5th Top 100 Chinese Software Enterprises in Income Volume as listed by the Ministry of Information Industry.

On June 20th the official groundbreaking for the construction of the Founder West Electronic Industry Base based on Flexible Printed Circuit (FPC) was celebrated.

In July, Founder stood 49th in the Top 500 Valuable Brands in China 2006, which was jointly sponsored by the World Brand Lab and the World Executive Weekly News.

In August, the Supreme Court issued a final verdict: Founder won the case of software copyright infringement by the Group of Beijing Hi-Tech S&T Co. This has a great significance and will now encourage enterprises to crack down on pirated products and protect and reinforce intellectual property rights.
In August, in the report of “New Global Challengers” issued by the Boston Consulting Group, Founder was named the Top Global 100 Rapidly Developing Economies (RDE).

In September, Founder stood 166th in the "Top 500 Large-scale Enterprise Groups for Competitiveness" first issued by the National Bureau of Statistics of China.

On October 14th, the most up-to-date six-inch integrated circuit production line in China was officially put into operation at Shenzhen Founder Micro-electronics.
In October, Founder stood 16th out of 25 firms with top scores in the All Stars Billboard of “The Most Laudable Chinese Companies”, first released by Fortune (Chinese edition) and the Hay Group.
In October, the Founder Easiprint Digital Printing System was selected for the State Torch Plan project by the Ministry of Science and Technology of the People’s Republic of China.

On November 28th, during his visit to Founder, Mr. Long Xinmin, Director of the General Administration of Press and Publication (GAPP) confirmed that GAPP would support Founder’s online publication system and he greatly hoped that Founder would play a leading role in the online publications industry.
In November, Founder’s Feiteng Chuangyi Mingpao Daily project successfully went into operation, further displaying Founder’s indigenous competitive and innovative technology.

On December 9th, FOUNDER S200 was honored the Best Industrial Design Award for its Notebook Computers in the “CCTV 2006 Innovation” ceremony.
On December 23rd, the 20th anniversary celebration of the Founder Group was held in the Great Hall of the People.
