| ¡¡¡¡Hu Jintao, General Secretary of CPC Central Committee, President of People¡¯s Republic of China, and Chairman of Central Military Commission, visited Peking University on May 3, at the coming of the 110th Anniversary of Peking University. He stopped for a long time in front of the material exhibition of Professor Wang Xuan¡¯s will, manuscript about designing laser photocomposing, and manuscript about modifying letter-type condense information. At the introduction of Xu Zhihong, President of Peking University, President Hu, for three times, held Wang Xuan¡¯s wife¡ª¡ªChen Kunqiu¡¯s hands, and enquired her well-being with concern. ¡°Professor Wang Xuan is our model. I am touched by his deeds.¡±, President Hu remarked.
¡¡¡¡On May 4, a conference for celebrating the 110th Anniversary of Peking University and 10th Anniversary of the implementation of ¡°985 Project¡± was staged in the Centennial Lecture Hall of Peking University. On that occasion, Founder participated in the ¡°A-decade Educational Achievement Exhibition of Peking University¡± and sponsored the publishing of two article collections for commemorating the anniversary¡ª¡ªA Record of Thinking of Peking University¡¯s Scholars and Being a Teacher.
