
 Founder Group and Chinese Wushu Association held a press briefing on May 7 to mark the official signature of a Strategic Partnership Agreement on joining hands to develop China’s martial arts, and the announcement of Founder Group as the main sponsor of China’s national martial arts team. The press conference was presided by Mr. He Qinglong, Party Secretary of Martial-Art Event Management Center of the State General Administration of Sport. Wang Xiaolin, Director of the Center and Chairman of Chinese Wushu Association, and Shi Qian, Vice President and Chief Brand Officer of Founder Group signed the agreement on behalf of the two parties; Mr. Yu Zaiqing, Deputy Director-general of the State General Administration of Sport, Executive Member of IOC, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Olympic Committee, Deputy Executive Chairman of BOCOG and Chairman of the International Wushu Federation, presented the honorary plate of “strategic partner” to Mr. Wei Xin, Chairman of Founder Group. Founder Group Chairman Mr. Wei Xin said in his speech that China’s martial arts and the brand of Founder Group have a lot of inherent similarities. Martial arts are representative of traditional Chinese culture, while Founder Group, as an icon of China’s independent innovation-oriented high-tech enterprises, has the common pursuit of “Coming from China and Going Global” with martial arts. Founder Group, which upholds China’s originality, shares the common mission of carrying forward China’s fine traditional culture and modern civilization together with the Center and the Association. At the prelude to Beijing 2008 Olympic Games, Founder is taking the opportunity to express its eager anticipation for the Olympic Games by working with the Association to fully support China’s national martial arts team. The signing ceremony has drawn widespread media attention, with CCTV Olympic Channel, BTV6, Heilongjiang Satellite TV, Xinhuanet, Sohu, people.com.cn, Sina, Netease, china.com.cn and other media carrying on-the-scene coverage.
